I’ve stayed in villas all over the world and never experienced the service that I received here. I was not expecting world class meals and snacks throughout the day and night. It was more like being on a private yacht than in a home. The seclusion of the house was important. We never had one person walk by on the beach while we were there for four days. While the beach in front of the house was spotless, be ready to see trash on the beach as you go on walks, that’s just the way it is in the Caribbean no matter where you are. The house itself is amazing. Past reviews readied us for the terrible road into the property and lots of bugs. On our visit the road was slightly bumpy but not bad at all. Also, we had almost no issue at all with bugs (it was nice and breezy while we were there). It’s about a 20 minute drive to the hotel zone in Tulum, make sure and exchange dollars for pesos to get the best deals while shopping and dining. I’ll be back for sure!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Pino the chef is as valuable as the property. The place was beautiful and the staff was the best I have ever seen. The pictures don’t due justice to how nice this place is. The sand on the beach was the softest I have every experienced. The staff anticipated the every item we would need and were so gracious and helpful.

Our family spent Thanksgiving week at Casa Yakunah. All the Casa Yakunah staff were extremely attentive. The butler was charming and so creative with his tablescapes and meal presentations. He anticipated our needs and made the 8 year old feel special and helped to make her vacation memorable. The chef was amazing. His menu was a culinary experience and we all enjoyed the delicious food. Paulina, the house manager, did an excellent job planning all our excursions. The only negatives would be the mosquitoes and the road once entering into Sian Ka’an.
